Manual Handling & Lifting training in Aberdeen, Dundee & Glasgow

Aims are to :-

• Provide the student with a sound knowledge of the issues involved in manual handling
• To introduce the relevant legislation

Objectives :- By the end of the course the student will

• Be aware of their employers obligations
• Be aware of their own obligations
• Understand why a good handling technique is important
• Undertake a basic risk assessment by yourself
• Have practised a safe method of lifting / moving

Brief instruction on the following : -

• Legislation
• Injuries associated with manual handling
• Correct handling techniques
• Risk assessments

Short practical instruction and student participation on : -

• Assessment
• Lifting techniques
• Handling techniques
• Mechanical aids

A practical list detailing the practical elements covered on the course will be issued with the certificate for your records.

Courses can relate to the high risk office environment which is often ignored. We can customise the course to suit your work environment.

This course  is held on demand, the price is based on a 4 hour course for up to 12 personnel.
